In class we had to do a stop motion video using still photographs. We took almost 100 photographs and turned them into a video ... pretty cool! We were given a Haiku by Clodi Aria that was written in French, but we translated it as "the rain has stolen the scent of the lilac russet moon."

Fun with Cameras
We had to play around with lighting and be creative. In this picture, I am video taping Kristin walking, but I am using the reflection of the window to video tape Kristin.
LIghting Technique
We started with the dim light from outside of the bathroom.
Then we used the backlight from the bathroom stall.
Finally, turning on the overhead light allowed the camera to readjust. Enjoy!

Treatment - MAET 2010
During my student teaching, we integrated a program called "Fill a Bucket" at the elementary level. The whole idea was based around Carol McCloud's book, Fill a Bucket: A Guide to Daily Happiness for Young Children. I loved the idea and really tried to implement it when I had my own classroom. The kids loved it and it really generated a positive learning experience for many of my students.
Last year, I taught at the middle school level and their version of this program was called "Be the Change." The middle school students really needed a day to focus on being respectful, as well as take a step back to readjust the way they treated each other. I would like to blend these two ideas for my iVideo. I think this would be beneficial for my students, as well as for myself. This will give me an opportunity to set up a "preview" video to show off how I can incorporate these ideas into my classroom.

Would you rather ... create a blog or a website?
If you asked me last summer if I preferred blogging versus creating a website I would have definitely answered BLOGGING! Although, I must admit that the reason for this answer is due to the fact that I had knowledge about blogging last summer, but had very little knowledge about creating websites. After playing around with some websites this summer I have found that creating websites isn't as scary as I would have imagined, with the exception of Dreamweaver, of course! No, I am jsut kidding. Dreamweaver seemed quite complicated at first, but with some practice it isn't too bad either. Who knows, I might even create my next website using Dreamweaver! Until then, you can check out the youtube video below to find out how to use google sites to create your first website!
